Couch Surfing Web Site

Yesterday a friend told me about this site, Couch Surfing. It is interesting. People all over the world are developing a community for fellow travelers. You can register and then look for places where you want to travel. You will find people with couches where you can crash for a night or two. No charge. Right now, there are mostly very young people on it. Beautiful people in their early to mid twenties. Looks more like a dating site although they say it isn't that. It is fun to look through it and dream of going to some foreign country and crashing on a couch in a home belonging to some handsome twenty something year old hunk. But I sincerely doubt that his couch would be available to a sixty five year old woman....Fun to dream though......

I checked that site out again. I was wrong about the age group. I punched in that I wanted to see where people fifty and older were living and the map showed spots all over the world. Interesting.

Wrong again. Many of the people listed as over 50 are said to be a hundred years old. They are in their twenties. I think that they didn't put in their age so they are listed as over a hundred. Sorry.

  1. I have read many travel blogs, and some of the people who's blogs I read have used this Couch surfing site as well as other sites which I can't think of right now. The folks whos blog I read were in their late 40's, from Canada, they have used it in Canada, the USA, and Mexico.
