Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

Last Night's Sunset
It was a calm evening. No wind. And the lake was as smooth as glass. The sun is setting almost half an hour later now than a few days ago. I left the lake at seven p.m. and it was still light. Warm and peaceful. I feel so blessed to live half a block away from the lake. Every evening Chico comes and pesters me for our evening walk. Sometimes I am busy doing something else and I am reluctant to go but as soon as I get to the lake I am happy Chico made us take the walk.
