Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

Another Sunset Over Lake Chapala
I know I have been putting too many photos of sunsets on this blog. I will try to contain myself from now on. I am just overwhelmed by the beauty I see every evening. I am so lucky.......
Your photos are gorgeous. I don't think it's possible to have too many beautiful sunsets or sunrises or pictures of people smiling. I check your blog everyday and always get a lift from what I see. Thank You. Sylvie
Hi Gayle, Thank you so much. I bet you are cold up in Portland now..... I am glad to be here instead. I am enjoying your Christmas gift. So where is the photo of you and Marie? Patricia
Hi Sylvie, Thank you! Good comments keep me going. I spend a lot of time doing this blog and sometimes I think of quitting but then I get a nice comment and change my mind. Thanks, Patricia
I'm going to be selfish and beg you not to quit your blog (at least not until we retire this year and move down there)! I really do check in everyday to see what you see and to read your funny, sensitive observations. Love the food pics too! Sylvie

ReplyDeleteNow I can see that you should have a vest or sweater or artwork made of these Lake Chapala sunset colors - blues, grays, golds, yellows, reds ...
ReplyDeleteKeep yourself warm & stay happy. Days will be getting longer soon!
ps: geez but your photographs are incredible!
