The dog in the middle is a pure Basenji. The one on the left is half Basenji. It is my first contact with a Basenji. It is from Africa and it doesn't bark. It CAN bark but it chooses not to bark. So the Africans have to tie a bell around it's neck when they hunt with it. They can run 35 miles an hour. Beautiful dogs. I have seen many unusual dogs here. This is a dog loving town.

I don't know this breed. But he or she looks so regal. It is still cold here. Overcast and cold. Chico and I walked to the Lake Chapala Society but I was too cold to sit outside and listen to the lecture. I am back home again, hoping it will warm up eventually. Otherwise, I will go to the beach for awhile. I hate cold weather.
