Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

Great pics! Love the dogs. When we visited 2years ago,we saw dogs resting in the sun,in doorways patios businesses and never bothering anyone. Another fond memory is of employees singing while they worked, carpenters, printers whatever and wherever! What is the name of the restaurant where the couple is strolling taking photo? It looks familiar. Again, thanks for the sunsets. Sylvie
Hi Sylvie, Thank you for writing. Yes, this is a wonderful place. People are happy here. I think the name of the restaurant is the Jardin..... It is a nice place. Good food.
