Sunset in Ajijic and a Full Moon

It was a beautiful evening. A full moon. It was warm and no wind. I met several people who were walking their dogs. Chico has decided that the beach where we sit belongs to him and no one else. I have to constantly remind him that he is just a little dog and the beach belongs to everyone. I can't get too angry at him because he loves being there. He will sit on my lap for an hour and watch the sunset.

Dalmatian Puppies

I saw these Dalmatian puppies yesterday. Cute puppies. Beautiful little girl. Lucky mother. Now she has four little ones to look after.

Simply Thai Restaurant

Above is Thip Phonsaveth, one of the owners of the restaurant. Jim McMahon is the other owner. I didn't get a chance to eat there yet but I am setting up a lunch date with two friends for this coming week to try it out. It is a beautiful restaurant and the food looks delicious. You need to make reservations: 766 5665. The restaurant is right across the street from the Lake Chapala Society.

My friend Stacey did the flower arrangements. They were beautiful.

Above are my friends Stacy and Auda. Auda is a hypnotherapist. He and Stacey are both interested in metaphysical things. They had a lively conversation.

Stacey recently moved to Ajijic. She and I wandered around town and took photos. She is a very interesting woman. Hopefully she and I can make it to the restaurant this week for lunch. We were in a hurry to catch the sunset when we were there.

The Lake Chapala Society in the Late Afternoon

I took the above photo across the street from the Lake Chapala Society. It is a gift shop.

I took these photos just before five yesterday. The LCS closes at two in the afternoon but the gate is open until five. People like to go in after it closes and enjoy the grounds. It is very peaceful then.

La Bella Vida ---You Deserve a Good Life

The woman wearing the pink shirt is Brenda Carol, owner of La Bella Vida.
She has created a wonderful place. She has painting classes and she does massage and there is a gift shop. She has a beautiful garden behind the shop. She always has paintings for sale.

There was an art opening in the afternoon a few days ago. The man in the above photo sang with the background music. He has a great singing voice. They had food and drinks for everyone. The artists were there with their paintings. It was a lot of fun. I usually don't go to things like this. I don't like to be in crowds but it was a small gathering and I met some interesting people.

The above paintings were done by the man standing beside them. His name is Antonio Cardenas. He has a varied style. Interesting work. Antonio can be reached at 766 1478.

Above is Juan Vavarro Navarro. He did the paintings above. I enjoyed meeting both artists. They were open and very friendly. Two very creative men. Juan can be reached at 331 060 9410.

The man in the above photo is Hal. He works at La Bella Vida. He was friendly too. The woman next to him is my friend Stacey. She recently moved down here. She is having the time of her life. The woman in the background was helping out with the festivities and unfortunately I never got her name. It was a fun afternoon. La Bella Vida is at 16 of September #4b. Phone number is: 376 766 5131. www.labellavidamx.com

Sunset on the Malecon in Ajijic

I took a walk with my friend Stacey along the malecon in Ajijic at sunset. It was fun to take photos of another part of the lake for a change. It was perfect weather. Maybe the cold evenings are over for now. This beautiful weather makes me so happy that sometimes I feel like I can fly over the lake like the birds I have been photographing.
