A Walk Through the Cemetery

Maybe the dog is looking for the ghost of his master.

Many of the graves were very festive, as if they were decorated for a party. Maybe they are often visited by their relatives, not just on the Day of the Dead.

  1. Wow! I've never seen such a cheerful cemetery. They are all so unique. I love the first little outdoor shrine, the one with the alcove with the curved roof.

  2. Hi Sarah, Thank you for writing. Yes, each grave site is different. The Mexicans are very expressive in their decorations. Lots of SOUL. P

  3. Patricia, Hi, nice to meet you. Just found your blog, very well done. Love the pictures and very well written, keep up the good work, a lot of us are living vicariously through you until we get the chance to see for ourselfs. Scouting trip later this summer, Manzanillo, Melaque and Chapala all in two weeks, know eventually it will be Chapala, but think we would like the beach for a year or two first. Really enjoy your blog, Thank You. Steve & Wheezy

  4. Hi Steve and Wheezy, Thank you. And thank you for writing. Please let me know when you get here and I will show you around. If you are going to be staying in Chapala, check out Beto's hotel. It is in a great location. It is probably one of the least expensive places around. Patricia
