Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

The Lake Chapala Society with Friends
Above is Jerry. He is Dale's friend. Jerry and his brother Art just arrived here on the bus from Texas. The bus ride took seventeen hours. Five hours getting through the border. I would have been too exhausted to be adventurous but they were ready to go. Jerry is a photographer. He is also a gardener. He was impressed with the Lake Chapala Society.
Above is Jerry again, photographing the flowers.
Above is a photo of Art and Dale. They are enjoying the garden.
My friend Dale has been talking to me for days about his two friends coming down to visit. It was fun spending time with them.
