Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

The Lake Chapala Society on a Hot Tuesday Afternoon
A lovely photo of my friend Emily.
Chico and Emily and I spent couple of hours at the Lake Chapala Society this afternoon. It was very hot. We appreciated every breeze that came by. Chico was glad to get out of his yard. He got to meet new friends and he spent a lot of time just standing in my lap. A month is a long time to be away from a loving dog. Not many people were there. It is too hot to be outside in the afternoons now. I hope to get to a pool tomorrow. I haven't been able to swim for a couple of weeks and I miss it.
