The Good Life in Ajijic
I haven't been writing much on the blog lately. Mostly putting on photos. But photos tell stories, sometimes better than words. I am going swimming again this morning. I love the pool at the park in Chapala. It hasn't been raining lately. It is hot in the afternoons, cool in the mornings. I may have another housesitting position for two weeks in July. I will talk with the woman about it on Tuesday. She has a pool where she lives so that will be nice.
Nothing much new in my life except for discovering the pool. It takes up most of my day by the time I take the bus into Chapala and walk to the park, swim and walk back into town, take the bus to Ajijic and walk home. Needless to say, I am getting a lot of exercise. So much exercise that by the time I get home I don't want to go out again. I bought thirty DVD's at a yard sale a couple of months ago so I usually put one on in the evening.
My new refrigerator is full of fresh fruits and veggies, steak and free range chicken. All chicken here is free range. I have home made yogart and berries, watermelon. I could go on and on about the wealth of things in my frig but I won't bore you with that. Just say, I feel wealthy here with all the good food I can eat and a beautiful pool and long sunny days. My life is my own. I can do whatever I wish. I guess that is enough writing for today. I am off to the pool.

School is Out for the First Session.
The ice cream man. An after school treat.

There is a morning session and an afternoon session. The afternoon kids don't get out of school until six in the evening. Notice, they are wearing uniforms.

The above photo is a little girl, all dressed up. I couldn't get a good photo of her because my camera many times goes black. I missed her and only got a little bit as she was walking past me. But I love her outfit.
Christiana Park, Pool and Tennis Courts in Chapala
The pool is so large that I had to swim from side to side instead of lengthwise. I was getting too tired swimming it lengthwise. I love this pool. I have been there two days in a row and I was the only one in it. I am going to try to get there every morning. I am in heaven. I have found the only missing piece of my life down here.

Swimming Pools and Mechanical Toys
My friend is coming to visit me at the end of the week so I went looking for a pool were we could swim. I found two at the Hotel MonteCarlo but then I went on the the public pool in the park in Chapala. I had been in it once in the winter and it was too cold. Today it was perfect. No batteries in my camera but tomorrow I will take photos. It is a beautiful pool and I was the only one swimming..... When I left for town I realized I forgot my money. I only had four dollars with me. With this amount of money I paid for my bus trip to Chapala and back, the pool entrance fee, and a great sandwich, plus the mechanical rides for the children. I love Mexico.
