This beach is a short drive from the one in San Blas. It is a beautiful beach and swimming is easier because it is a bay. The restaurant where we ate had delicious sea food. I am having lots of fun here.
that beach looks so inviting! i just got caught up on reading your posts from san blas. i'm glad you decided not to leave right away because it does sound like a nice place. can you get bug spray with deet in it down there? we got some in vietnam and it worked wonders against the mosquitos. the only times i got bitten by mosquitos were before i had a chance to spray myself. i think i told you a few bit through my jeans. i wonder if the deet would work well against the jejenes.
p.s. chacala is a very nice beach town-village. i sepnt 2 winters there doing volunteer work. if you get a chance to go there, i would recommend it. it's probably about halfway between p.v. and san blas but i can't be sure without a map to look at. it's close to a town called las varas.
Oh Man .... It looks like it was an absolute hellish day at the beach! Especially when you consider you could have spent the entire day in an OFFICE in the frigid North country!
ps: I can just about TASTE the tacos & feel the cold beer sliding down my throat right now....
HI Teresa, Good to hear from you. I brought deet down with me. When I was living here years ago they didn't sell deet but my friend Pat said they do sell it now. Hope you are still having fun. P
Hi Teresa, I remember at one time I was considering going to that beach town. I am not very adventurous these days. I will be lucky if I stay here an entire month. I am already getting homesick. Thanks for writing. Your friend, p
