Anita, Pedro "Loco" and Vino Blanco

Anita in front of one of the trees near the Old Posada.

Vino Blanco was interested in this couple. She walked up on the patio to investigate. She hung out there while they ate their lunch. They said that she had "terrible breath". I guess she got pretty close to their food if they could smell her breath.

Above photos are of a man and his little girl enjoying Vino Blanco. The man was driving past and saw her. He got out of his car and asked Pedro, "What is this?" He thought Pedro and Vino Blanco were some kind of concession. He thought maybe to make money with photos. (There was a man who walked by us earlier in the day who wanted us to pay him twenty pesos to take a photo of his huge iguana.) Pedro said, No he wasn't a concession but they could visit with the donkey. The man and his daughter were delighted and he took many photos of her on the donkey.
Pedro had a friend visiting with him today. His name is Arturo Camacho. He speaks English and seems to be very intelligent. He is looking for work. He can do many different things from driving (he has a car) to shopping, gardening, electrical, and general help. He has references. If interested e mail him at art.mgfl@hotmail or call 368 82009 or cell 3331478013

Vino Blanco has an interesting life. Many people come by during the day.

What a sweet face. But she can get into trouble.
She loves marshmallows.

The above photos I took when Vino Blanco went through the restaurant and stood in front of the bathrooms. Somehow she knew where Pedro went and she wanted to be near him. Pedro was very surprised when he came out to see her there. Look at them from the bottom to the top. I didn't put them on the blog in the right order. I love to see Pedro's laugh as he is coming back to the patio after seeing his that Vino Blanco had gone looking for him.

Vino Blanco found a plastic bag with cans that Anita had brought for the woman who collects cans.

I am glad that Anita and I were able to spend the afternoon with Pedro and Vino Blanco. After we found out that the baby, Pina Colada, died, we were very upset. Life goes on. The mama seems to be doing fine today. I am happy for that. Pedro seemed sad though. We all fell in love with the baby donkey. Today I got to know more about Vino Blanco and Pedro and that gave me comfort. It is easy to lose hope when a baby dies, animal or human. (This post makes me think of a children's story. I bet children would enjoy seeing the photos of Vino blanco and hearing about his day.)
