Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

Lake Chapala Society
I took the above photo on the way to the Lake Chapala Society. Spring is here.
What would express Spring better than sunshine, flowers, dogs and children? It is beautiful here now. I spent three hours at the LCS this morning. I met friends, drank hot chocolate and relaxed. LCS is one of my favorite places here in Ajijic.
In my part of the country, spring is wild flowers, newborn calves and lambs. It is a wonderful time of year. Everything is starting to green up and the only snow that is left is up on the butte. It gives everything a new energy, including myself.
