Ajijic Wednesday Market Before Easter
Above is a photo of Chito playing inside Salvador's Restaurant.
Salvador's is crowded as usual for market day.
The people selling flowers quickly sold out today.
Above are the Huichol beaded crafts. I like the one that looks like an egg with the Iguana on the top of it.
It was so crowded in the market that it took a long time to walk through it. People were stalking up for Easter.
It is Almost Easter
The above two photos were taken at the Ajijic plaza. They were cleaning it up for Easter.
I threw in another pink cloud photo. Couldn't resist. There is a lot of excitement in town because of Easter coming soon. I missed a procession. I was swimming at the Real de Chapala instead. Too bad I can only be at one place at a time! I hope to make to some of the other festivities in town.

Sunday Afternoon at the Real de Chapala Hotel
The road near the Real de Chapala.
Above is Chito, one of my favorite mariachis.....
Above from left to right are Joan, Shelley, Colin and Trevor. They were only here a week and Joan spent most all of her time in the Focus on Mexico seminar but the rest of the family explored the town. They all love it here and want to move down ASAP.
Above is Colin and above that photo is one of the entire family. They came down from Canada to see what it is like in this area. They are thinking of moving here soon. They took me out to lunch. It was great fun. I hadn't been back to Sunday lunch at the Real de Chapala for a long time.
I had a lot of fun at the Real de Chapala with Joan and her family. She and I have been e mailing each other for many months. All through the cold winter months up in Canada, Joan kept in touch with me and made her plans for visiting Ajijic. It was wonderful to finally meet her in person. I felt like we were already good friends. I am looking forward to the family moving here.

Open Circle on Sunday at the Lake Chapala Society
Above is the speaker, Patsy Krakoff. She talked about keeping the brain healthy. It was an interesting lecture. One of the best I have heard at Open Circle.
It was Palm Sunday and the children were there selling handmade art objects. They were made out of wheat stalks and some had fresh wild flowers woven in with the braided wheat.
Lake Chapala Society
I took the above photo on the way to the Lake Chapala Society. Spring is here.
What would express Spring better than sunshine, flowers, dogs and children? It is beautiful here now. I spent three hours at the LCS this morning. I met friends, drank hot chocolate and relaxed. LCS is one of my favorite places here in Ajijic.

Willie Nelson
I received an e mail today from a woman who witnessed the appearance of Willie Nelson at Manix Restaurant. Everyone in the the restaurant believed he was the real thing but he signed his autograph with the letters LAL...... Do you know what that means? Look Alike..... He was a Willie Nelson Look Alike...... He did add some excitement to the town for a few days. The woman sending me the e mail said when she thought he was Willie Nelson she invited him to her house for dinner. When she realized he was a LAL she joked that she would serve him a rubber chicken. A LAL chicken..... She asked, Do you think he will be able to tell the difference from it and the real thing?
The Illusive Willie Nelson
Above are my friends Loretta and Dennis. The restaurant was so crowded with dancers that they had to dance next to our table. There was no room on the small dance floor.
Last night John told me that he heard from the Ajijic grapevine that Willie Nelson was expected to show up at the Tall Boys show in Chapala. We got a group of people together and went to it at the Beer Garden Restaurant down by the Malecon. We had lots of fun dancing the night away but no Willie Nelson. Someone told us that he had been at the Manix Restaurant one night and got up and sang some songs. I don't know if this is true or not. All I know is we had fun and we didn't see Willie Nelson. I usually don't go out at night. But it was great to go out with several people. It isn't much fun to go out alone and have to take a taxi back home. I need to be more adventurous.
