I Am Back Online

I have been unable to get online for a few days. My friend, John, suggested connecting up a line to my landlord's modem so I could get a good signal. So, yesterday afternoon he did that for me. My landlord agreed to allow me to do it and I am paying half his internet fee.

Every since I have started this blog I have been struggling with a bad connection. Most of the time I couldn't get online at all. Some the time, I was disconnected in the middle of creating a post or writing an e mail. I always had to have my door open in order to get the signal, no matter how cold it was outside. Now I can sit in my casita with my door closed and be comfortable. Such a simple pleasure but it has changed my life dramatically. I will even have more free time because this connection is very fast.

I could never have done this connection alone. I never would have even thought of doing it. John was at one time a wiring man so he saw the possibility and did a great job. THANK YOU JOHN. I have a lot of photos of the past few days and I will put them on sometime today or tomorrow. Today is market day so I will be very busy. Several people have contacted me and asked if I was okay. They were worried about me. That felt good. It is nice to be missed and to know that people care about me out here in cyberspace. Thank you for your concern. That means a lot to me. It is my reward for spending so much time doing this blog.

  2. Glad you have the internet problem worked out. FOr along time we had to rely on dialup, so slow. Finally an internet company built us our own tower. I live in a rural community in Idaho. The nearest grocery store is 45 minutes away. For years I lived in a big city and at the ripe age of 50 I finally figured out that city life didn't suit me well. This is much better. Very honest, simple and rewarding.
