I have been very ill the past few days. I am house sitting and I was running low on drinking water a few days ago. The water truck hadn't been by and I was hungry so I took a short cut with washing my fruit. Big mistake. It really has to be soaked for fifteen minutes in a water purifier or you could get very ill. I have been stuck to the bed for several days now. I finally made it over to my house to check my e mail and write a little on the blog. I learned my lesson the hard way. It may be a few more days before I am back to writing on the blog.
I'm sorry to hear you've been so sick! But glad you seem to be getting better finally. That's scary.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah, I am getting better. At least it started me on a diet and my blood pressure is down to normal. That is great. Patricia
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling even better today, Patricia.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Karen
Glad to hear you're feeling better. I suffered from that the last time we were in Vera Cruz and had to travel by bus just when I was starting to recover.Thought that ride would never end! Take Care. Oh, and what exactlyis a water purifier in Mexico? Sylvie
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you got sick. Glad you're on the road to recovery though!
ReplyDeleteI have always been very lucky and pushed the envelope several time when eatting fresh fruit and veggies in Mexico; next time - I'll heed your advice.
ReplyDelete"Tourista" never sounds like fun - but the weight loss is always a welcome
Get well soon - I miss your daily postings.
HI Karen, Thank you for your good wishes. Funny thing is that for a long time I didn't soak anything. Then after I did it for awhile I got sick the first time I quit. Maybe it is better to have those bugs in the system but I am not taking any more chances. I will soak everything first. Patricia
ReplyDeleteHi Ginger, Thank you for your good wishes. It is so nice to find out that there are people out there who are concerned about me. Patricia
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvie, Thank you for your good wishes. The water purifier is a liquid you put in the water. One is microdine. I am not sure if that is the correct spelling. There are several others. Very inexpensive little bottles you can buy in the grocery store. Many of the new homes have purified water from their pipes. Patricia
ReplyDeleteThank you Gayle and everyone else. It is wonderful that people are reading my blog and thinking about me and sending me good wishes. I am fine now. Patricia
