Canada Day, July 1st. in Ajijic and Horses for Cheryl

This is along the road to my house. The lake is at the end of this road. You can see it in the photo.

Fishermen throwing their nets.

He seems to be enjoying his view of the lake. Not a bad way to spend One's retirement days.

They, too, are enjoying the view in a different way.

Thunder clouds. We are having lots of thunder and lightening, mostly at night.

I went with some friends to La Nueva Posada for their Canada Day Celebration. We sat out in the garden for a couple of hours. We talked about everything; our lives, our hopes and plans, etc. When we got to talking about men, we started adding up the single available ones here. We couldn't get past five. So I said, Well, let's just grow old together. Anita laughed and said, We are already old. Oh yes, I forgot. I keep thinking I am sixteen again, I am having so much fun here. If you are a single woman here, we will welcome you into our social circle. Just don't think you are going to meet a man ..... They aren't here.

Anita at her new apartment as La Nueva Posada. She had to move to a different one but now she can stay for several months. It has a nice private garden.

Gigi and her granddaughter. I took one of Gigi's husband too but it didn't come out. Gigi obviously adores her granddaughter. Young people sitting around after school.

This boy was playing on the floor by Gigi's restaurant. He was so happy that I took his photo. Most children love to have their pictures taken.

Yesterday was also the Wednesday market day. This man made a beautiful stand. Hope he sold a lot of plants.

This is the cheese, yogurt and flan stand.

My favorite taco stand.

As I said, most children love to have their pictures taken. This little girl was hamming it up for the camera. She is the second to the youngest of four children so she is enjoying the attention. Her baby sister is in the stroller. She is at the taco stand.

Morning fishing.

  2. Hi Cheryl, Thank you for writing. Glad you liked the horse photos. You will always be welcome to join us, if Billy doesn't mind. He could come too but he might feel overwhelmed with so many women around. Patricia
