Casa de las Flores Bed and Breakfast

These are the two poodles living at the Casa de las Flores. They are sweet, well behaved dogs.
One poodle is a male, named Elvis. He is the natural blonde. The other is a female. She has a purple dye job. I don't remember her name. I was just dazzled by her color. Purple is my favorite color.

Every part of the Casa has surprises, special things from all over the world.

This cross is at the entrance.

Fernando Gomez, one of the owners. He is a great cook. He cooked breakfast for us this morning. They have a full gym and Fernando teaches weight training. Can you tell????

This is the other owner, Steve Cross. He was born in Northern Ireland. He is good natured, creative, generous, warm. I could go on and on praising these two men but I will stop now before I go overboard and then no one would believe me. They donate a lot of time and money for the local orphanage. That should tell you something about their spirits.

View from one of the rooms. I am sorry my photos are so blurry. I am going to try to get Steve to put an ad on my blog with some of his own photos.

The upstairs room. It has a nice view of the pool and the mountains. There are only five rooms so it is an intimate setting. A great place for honeymooners.

They have a full time gardener. It shows. The gardens are beautiful.

Steve, again by the pool. The pool is heated. If you would like to contact them, e mail steviebloke2@hotmail.com or try http://www.casafloresajijic.com/ or call :376 766 5493. Or cell: 331-411 7774. I found this place through Mary. From Canada, she called all the Bed and Breakfasts in town and they gave her the best price. For a small charge they picked her up at the airport and will take her back there tomorrow. The Casa is within walking distance of the Plaza in Ajijic. The address is Zaragoza #38, Poniete, Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Mary has nothing but great things to say about the place. Steve and Fernando even included her in their social life. They took her to a choral concert in Chapala and invited her friends for breakfast. That means Anita and I had a chance to experience delicious food cooked by Fernando. Thank you Fernando and Steve for a very relaxing morning. P.S. I learn something new everyday. I just learned how to transfer the photos Steve e mailed to me to my blog. The first photos are from him. The clear ones......He must have a good camera. I should get one someday......Anita is giving me a hard time because I complain too much about my camera. She doesn't understand how I am about spending money. Anything costing over a hundred dollars is food for many months of thought and obsessive price and quality comparison. My parents went through the depression. I learned from them....

  1. That is the most beautiful place! I hope I can go there with my husband for our next anniversary.

I've never seen a purple poodle, or any dog with hair dye. Funny!
