  1. There is something eerie about the juxtaposition of the dogs and the butcher. Maybe the old ways are still practiced up by your lake.

  2. Hi Steve, Thanks for the early morning belly laugh. I was just thinking about you and wondering how you are walking these days. I still have lots of pain when I walk but getting better. Thanks for writing again. Thanks, Patricia

  3. My ankle gets a bit stiff now and then -- and going down stairs, I need to be cautious. But it is fine.

  4. Hi Steve, Thanks for your update. That is good news. Maybe mine will get there soon. I tried to find out about the blogger convention that you went to but couldn't. Do you know how I can find it? I was thinking it would be fun to go this year. Thanks, Patricia

  5. Hi Pat,

All these photos are very enticing and now that I'm free, at least for the moment, I would like to visit Chapala again and hopefully get to meet you this time. Can you recommend a place where I can rent for <$500/month for one month?
    Thanks, Pat.

  6. Thank you for writing Haidi, I think I already answered this in an e mail. But just in case, Try Beto's motel in downtown Ajijic. That is the cheapest place I know of here. Or look under my favorites at Ajijic Rentals. There is one but it is a little more expensive. P
