Super Lake Grocery Store

I went with my friends to Super Lake Grocery store. It is very popular with the expats. Once a real estate agent told me that being close to this store is the number one criteria for many of his clients. I rarely go there but it was fun. There was wine tasting in front of the store and a woman selling flowers. A man was there selling DVDs and someone else was selling raspberries. Then my friend took me to the bank and on to her house to swim. We saw this horse and carriage in downtown Ajijic. It was a good day. The weather was beautiful.  But of course that is usually the case here everyday.

  1. those raspberries look scrumptious! you're so lucky to have nice weather all the time-but we love our area, rain and all.

how far are you from san miguel? hoping my next trip to mexico will be in the interior, but who knows when that will be.

    have a great week!

  2. Would you need to soak those raspberries in that solution to kill bacteria? Lots of raspberries in October, too - but I wasn't sure about the need for soaking, since they weren't (or shouldn't have been) in contact with the soil. Also, I bet your viewers would enjoy a few snapshots of items inside the store - to compare product availability & price, etc. I bought a lot of hard salami & cheese while there - the meat case was awesome. Also it seemed to me that the tequila there was pretty inexpensive - but then I never found any other place to buy tequila while there.

  3. Hi Teresa, Thank you for writing again. Yes, the weather here is lovely. Can't complain about the weather. And the raspberries are delicious. I have them for breakfast everyday. San Miguel is several hours from here. Not sure of the exact distance. It is a long bus trip and I haven't taken it yet. I have been to San Miguel a couple of times but I like this area better for many reasons. Thank you, Patricia

  4. Hi Gayle, Good to hear from you again. Hope all is well in your life. I rarely go to Super Lake and I don't know how they would feel about me taking photos inside. Walmart sure didn't like it. They almost threw me out of the store when I took photos. Yes there are many interesting things in Super Lake but all those interesting things are not cheap. Happy Valentine' Day to you. Your friend, patricia
