I took the bus to the Lake Chapala Society for the first time since my accident. I walked several blocks. It was nice for me to go there again, even though my ankle still hurts when I walk. I got more books and met up with friends. My friend Don invited me out to lunch with another friend, Dennis. Lucky me. Lunch with not one but TWO single and very interesting men and I must not overlook--Dennis's new dog, Scrappy. What a cute dog. This is Dennis's first experience of having his very own dog. At first Dennis was overwhelmed and tried to return Scrappy to the animal shelter but they refused to take him back. Now, a month later, they are like two peas in a pod. I don't think Dennis would give him up for anything. It is fun to see people bonding with their animals. It also makes me miss Chico.

Dennis & Scruffy have the exact same looks on their face in the picture of them together. That is adorable! I'm so glad Dennis gave Scruffy a second (or rather, third) chance.
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie, Very funny. Now that I look at it, I see what you are saying. They are made for each other. Thank you for writing. See you in a couple of weeks or maybe tomorrow. I am going over to see Chico for a little while tomorrow and hopefully you will be around too. Your friend, Patricia
