Another Milestone

I am almost afraid to put this milestone on my blog. The last time I wrote about having a thousand posts and celebrating, I broke my ankle.... But I shouldn't be so superstitious. Here goes, I have had 60,469 hits on my blog....

I wrote a book once. It was about living in Mexico. It took me two years to write it and only ten people read it. No one wanted to publish it. This is so much more fulfilling..... I meet new friends and people compliment my work. I think only one out of the ten readers liked my book and they were my FRIENDS. Don't ever ask a friend to read your book. It can be extremely deflating.  I am so thankful for this opportunity to share the life that I love with more people and also being appreciated. I thank you all for taking the time out of your busy lives to read my blog. It means a lot to me.

I am so glad to see you are recovering so well...thank you for your beautiful words & beautiful pictures of the people places & things you live each & every day...Take good care. Would you like to see what a 4 ft snow drift looks like in Chicago? Praise God you live there & not here in the Midwest...

  2. Congratulations on the 60K plus hits!

We read your blog because you give a great snapshot of what it's really like to live in your area of Mexico. I, for one, love your photos! And your musings about life.

Thank YOU, Patricia, for taking the time out of days to post to this blog. I check it every day for new posts (I know, I know, I could RSS, but I like going to the website to see if you've posted....;-)

  5. Hi Patricia,

I love looking at your beautiful pictures and reading your thoughts. They often make me think about my life. Somehow I missed a few days of posts...I really like the one about feeling empty even when there are lots of "things" around. So true!
I bet Chico misses you, too.

  6. HI Karen, Thank you for continuing to read my blog and write to me. It means a lot to me. I am glad you can identify with my feelings. I hope Chico is doing okay... I worry about him. His owner is often gone during the day. Patricia

  7. Seems to me that your search for a Sense of Purpose (SOP) could easily be put on the back burner - with 60k avidly reading your blog, I think you've already found it. It's wonderful that it gives you something purposeful to do every day, and that it offers so much insight, hope & encouragement to others who wish to live a life of new cultures. Just curious: besides me (!!) how many others have you met personally as a result of this blog? I can identify with Barbara - I remember when I first found your blog & spent HOURS reading through them all! You offer so much more information than others about daily life. Thanks for sharing! Abrazos... Gayle

  8. HI Gayle, Thank you for writing again. I have been thinking about you and wondering what is going on with you. How many people have I met through this blog? I can't tell you that for sure. Less than fifty, maybe more than twenty five.... That is just a guess. I am glad you are still reading it. Hope all is well in your world. Your friend, Patricia
