There are many beautiful places behind simple walls here. Walls and gates you would walk right past without noticing unless you knew what was behind them. These grounds are large with several apartments. Sometimes they come up for rent. Not often. You can see why. My friend Suzanne lives in a beautiful place here and sometimes she rents out a bedroom. It is centrally located but feels like it is isolated. When I was there, just before sunset, the birds were singing like crazy. This is one of my favorite places in Ajijic.
