A Gift from Evelyn

Lucky Me. Evelyn showed up at my door this morning with this gift. A papaya off the tree in our yard. Evelyn is my middle name. I feel a special connection to her because of our names. But she is very special in her own right......

  1. What a cute little girl. It is great to see you are finally up and enjoying the great life in Ajijic. We finally sold our house and will be there by the first of June. Hope we can maybe get to meet you. I know that you know Cheryl and Billy Pearson. We met them last May when we were in town for a visit and information. We can not wait to get to Ajijic and finally enjoy our retirement. See you soon. I also have started a blog about our Golden Years.

  2. Hi Jo Ann and Bill, Yes, Cheryl and Billy are two of my favorite people. They are wonderful. Send me your blog link. Maybe we can trade links? Thanks for writing. I would like to meet you when you arrive. Do you have a place to stay yet? Patricia

  3. Your lucky to have a Evelyn in your life. I have found that the young people we befriend grow into adult friends in a very short time. Before you know it they are introducing you to their little ones-the true gift of a long life.

  4. Hi Norm, Thank you for those wise words. Children grow up so quickly. You are right about that. I took care of disabled children for seven years and sometimes they contact me as adults. It is always a gift for me to hear from them. Thank you for writing. Patricia
