Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

had a very busy weekend and just got caught up reading your last few posts. that looks like such a nice restaruant. are those pix from the area where you are housesitting? all those places look quite fancy.
what a cute kitty! i fed one that looks a lot like it while walking the trail one day last week. as you know, i love cats. you should keep him/her, at least as an outside kitty since chico is not pleased.
i hope to get around to writing my newsletter sometime this week. i am being lazy today as i spent yesterday snowshoeing and just want to kick back and relax.
Hi Teresa, Good to hear from you again. Those photos are in the neighborhood where I live. I feel so lucky to be there. I am house sitting in West Ajijic. I took photos of the lake here. I may put them on the blog today. Looking forward to your newsletter. I think that cat belongs to the neighbors. She just makes the rounds for more food. Otherwise she wouldn't be so healthy looking. P
