The Saga of No Electricity

This morning my landlord told me that the transformer they moved lost two forks and that is why our electricity went out for another day and night. Those forks just dropped onto the ground.  I have no idea what he is talking about. I really don't care about forks, knives or spoons. I just care about having electricity. Is that asking too much? Maybe so.

  1. It's not asking too much. The state of utilities there is perfectly unacceptable and there's really no good excuse. The apathy of the Mexicans, the "que sera sera" resolution, will not change until customers insist otherwise. Not that it's not understandable. NOB hissy fits and unreasonable expectations get one nowhere. But putting up with incompetence and unreliable services just because TIM (this is Mexico) only validates bureaucratic nonsense and slack performance that should have been gone twenty years hence.

You're so cute. Keep the blog rolling.

  2. Hi Vincent and Karina, You are right but that doesn't change things. Sometimes it is so hard to be patient down here. Thanks for writing and for the compliment. Patricia
