A Lovely Woman Standing by a Bed and Breakfast

I love this photo. The woman is real. The dog is painted on the side of the wall. I asked the woman to stand there so I could take her photo. Earlier I had walked by while she was sitting in the open doorway. I thought at the time that it would have made a beautiful photo because of her clothing matching the flowers on the wall. I was too tired and hungry to get my camera out and take it.

When I walked by the second time, she was leaving. So I asked her to stand by the door. She said, "I don't know why you want to take my picture. I am not anyone important."

That struck me as a feeling that I too often have in this indifferent world.  I said to her, "You are very important."

It looks like the dog on the wall likes her and sees her beauty and he isn't even real. (I didn't notice that until I put the photo on my computer.)  I wish we could all see our own beauty before it is too late and time for us to leave this world.

  9. Yes, she is lovely. And I'm so glad you told her she is important. We all need to be reminded of that sometimes.

As for your latest post, so glad you got your blog back! That would be a devastating loss for your and your readers.

But you should write that book, Patricia!
