Karaoke at La Bodega in Ajijic

This evening I took a short walk to La Bodega for their Karaoke. One of the reasons I moved to this casita was because it was so close to La Bodega, which is one of my favorite restaurants in Ajijic. I love the atmosphere because it is open to a garden on three sides, the people are friendly, the food is good and they always have excellent entertainment.

I get so lazy at night. I plan during the day that I am going to go there to listen to music and have dinner and by the time evening rolls around, I put on a DVD and stay home instead. But this evening I did go there and I had a nice time. It is fun during the rainy season because it is much quieter. Maybe one day I will get up enough courage to try to sing. NO. I am sure that won't happen.

A different group plays there every night, except Tuesday. They are closed on Tuesday.  I am going to have to maybe take a little nap during the day so I can stay up long enough to walk down there and listen to the music. I am always happy when I do make it out at night. I guess wanting to stay home is another sign of getting older.

The address is: 16th de Septiembre #124, Ajijic. Their web site is: http://www.Labodegaajijic.com

  3. Hi Matt, There aren't very many boats on the lake. I went to a kayaking meeting yesterday. There is also a sailing club here. Small boats. On holidays there are a few more boats out there. It is nice for me that there aren't a lot of boats because it is very peaceful. The lake is kind of shallow. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Or maybe the older people here who could afford a boat, aren't interested. In October the Pan Am games will be in Guadalajara. There is going to be a rowing competition here. I am guessing that there will be more boats here that month. Thanks for writing. Patricia
