  2. How do you know if only purified water/ice was used to make the (I assume, home-made) ice cream?

Does the ice cream stay frozen while being pushed around town all day? What about at his home - does he keep it frozen there?

I was shopping for ice cream there at El Torito grocery store. All the ice cream in the freezer was melted, because the power went out on the freezer. Yet, the containers were kept INSIDE the warm freezers. I asked the clerks what they were going to do with all the melted ice cream. Their answer was "they would re-freeze when the power went back on again."

    Just an fyi... PDX

    1. I noticed that once at El Torito. I don't know if the ice cream from the ice cream man is kept frozen or not. I just took a chance. It looked too good to pass up and I didn't get sick. Sometimes I just throw caution to the wind..... P
