Open Hours Sign at the Casa Blanca

I love this sign
This sign could be appropriate for many restaurants and businesses in Mexico, if the owners were totally honest about their hours.

  5. Hi Pat,
I was hoping to meet you in Ajijic next week, but we've had to cancel our trip due to a medical issue. So sad about it, but will hopefully reschedule soon. Keep up the good work with your blog! Love it!

    1. Hi Gayle, Great hearing from you. I woke up thinking about you up there in the cold and wondering when you are going to finally retire and come down here. Thanks for writing. Your friend, p

  9. Oh, heck .. HOW DO YOU ALWAYS KNOW ? when it's me that's responding?? :?)

Snow on my windshield this morning on the way to work, though today was a 'balmy' 45 degrees. Lots of people wearing shorts, but then - that's Portland! I HAVE RETIRED & will (probably) be there from Oct 2012 to Jan 2013. I'll find a place w/a pool - so start swimming... ! GW

    1. Hi Gayle, By now, I know your voice very well, even if it is just in writing. So you have finally made the decision to come down. Congratulations..... You sure are waiting a long time before you move. If you wait that long, Maria's lease will be up... Your friend, p

  10. We stayed at CasaBlanca. Joe closed the cafe for now - it only lasted a few days (his "chef" wasn't cooperating, so he's gone). Food was delicious while it lasted!! He's trying to figure out a new menu - we suggested Middle-Eastern since he is from Syria. Let me know if he opens the cafe again with a different menu. We had a lovely time at the B&B with him.

  11. Hi Donna, Thank you for that information. Sorry to hear about the restaurant closing down but a Middle-Eastern one would be nice. P
