My Bimbo Bread Experiment

This Bimbo white bread has been sitting on my kitchen counter for two months now. I am doing an experiment to see how long it will stay fresh. The slices of bread are very soft and tempting. I could make a sandwich out of them and enjoy it, except that I know how long it has been sitting there. And I also wonder how long it was on the shelf at the grocery store....  There is NO MOLD on it at all.... and no signs of any bugs trying to get into the package.

  1. That's a long time for no mold. It's like Twinkies.

    1. Hi Scott, I finally managed to post your comment after much messing around with my i pad. I really need to get it fixed. Yes, twinkies are so good. That Bimbo bread was good too. But I think I will avoid both from noe on. Thanks for writing. P

  2. Just imagine what went into that loaf of bread when it was made. It is full of preservatives. Definitely not for me.

    1. I agree with you. I am making my rye bread today. It might not taste as good as Bimbo but at least it will get moldy. P

  3. Wonder bread is the same...never molds. Too many chemicals in it I guess. That's why the bugs don't want it either! See you soon......
