Home in Mexico Again

Fiesta is at the Portland airport.
Fiesta in the hotel bed.
Fiesta in the hotel sending messages to friends.
Fiesta in the hotel, waiting for coffee.

Fiesta meets Chico. Chico isn't interested.
Fiesta is having his morning tea in his new home in Mexico
My friend said the kitty was missing for a week but she was at my window this morning.
Chico looks kind of frazzled. I think he missed me.
It was a long trip. I spent the night in Phoenix. When they asked if anyone was willing to stay behind for a free night in a hotel and a 375 dollar travel voucher, I said yes. No one was waiting for me at the airport.  One of the advantages of being single, I can do things like that. So they drove me to the hotel. I had a nice night in a two room hotel and a delicious omelet for breakfast. Then they drove me back in the morning.

It was really crazy at the airport. They had overbooked all their flights. So once again they asked if anyone wanted to stay behind. I said yes. Another travel voucher. This time for 325 dollars. Plus a voucher for lunch in the airport. I waited two hours for the next plane and again they asked if anyone would stay behind. This time for a 300 dollar voucher. I said yes, of course. The next plane went out in six hours. Unfortunately, they didn't need me so I went on that plane. But I had a nice flight home with 700 dollars in travel vouchers in my pocket. Not bad. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE BACK TO MEXICO AND BE WARM AGAIN!

  5. Way to go chica! 700 bucks for future travel. Enjoy your posts so very much especially as I look out the window and see the 4 inches of snow that fell yesterday, but the sun is out so all is good. Helena in Ohio

    1. Thank you Helena for commenting. I am so glad I am not at your house. The day after I left Portland it snowed. I got out just in time. P

  6. I am in Phoenix and have lived in SE Portland for five years and have been considering the Chapala area myself, not so much to retire as I am only 47 but to take a break from how fast paced and crazy life is today. Interesting blog, thanks for posting all of this! And cool to have 700 dollars in travel vouchers appear in your life out of nowhere. Happy New Years, Rob A.
