Morning Thoughts---Moving

Things are changing where I live in La Floresta. My landlord wrote me an e mail that he most likely will be moving out at the end of August. I have decided to stay here with my family a few more weeks so I can house and dog sit while they take another trip. That means I will only have one week after I return to my casita to find another home. And I have all that furniture! I have a casita full of furniture.

I don't know yet if the landlord will take Chico or give him to me. I am waiting for his e mail reply.  If anyone out there knows of a place for rent for four hundred dollars a month or less. (Don't laugh.) please let me know. Or even a bedroom in someone's house until I can find a place. I know, I just posted that inexpensive rental but if I have Chico, I will need a place with a yard.

  1. Hi Pat, I tried to check out 2758 on accesslakechapala.com but nothing comes up. Maybe with your good advertising, someone already snatched it up.

  2. Pat, does this mean I won't get to meet with you when I'm in Ajijic? We arrive on 7/29 and leave on 8/11.

  3. I sure hope that you get to keep Chico. I can imagine how difficult that would be to have to give him up, even though he is not "technically" yours.

I am going to be down there the middle of August and will be looking for something around that price range for myself. I don't care so much about a yard, but will need off street parking so if I see something that fits your situation I can video it and pass it on to you if you like.

    2. Hi Tammy, I love reading Pat's blog, too. I hope to permanently live in Ajijic one day. We're visiting there for the second time at the end of July/early August. Just curious--what made you want to move to Ajijic?

    3. Hi Lorrie, I don't know if you were asking Tammy or me that question. But I saw photos of the Chapala pier and that brought me to Chapala. P

  5. I was wondering why you have to leave just because the landlord is moving? Did he sell the whole place? You have been needing a "change" so maybe this will be a good thing! And we will get new pictures with new scenery. LOL it's low season so you should still have good choices in rentals. Goo luck and enjoy you extended visit with your son.

    1. Thank you for commenting Linda. I have to move because my landlord isn't the owner of the property, just a renter. So they will rent the entire place to someone else. But I will see if they will rent me just the casita. I expect they will raise the price and it isn't worth more than I have been paying. P

  6. Oh and I forgot to say..try Craigslist. I have regularly seen LaFlorista rentals on there along with many others...click on Guadalajara.

    1. Thank you. Yes, I did look on craigslist last night. There were a few rentals up at the lake but nothing for me. P
