An Old Dog Learning New Tricks

I have been spending large chunks of my days up here learning how to use the I pad that my son so generously gave me. I feel like such a dope because I have to ask him many times to repeat simple insructions. This post is being written on the I pad using an external roll up rubber key pad. I still haven't mastered how to put on photos. That will take a few more days of practice. My son an daughter-in-law leave tomorrow for India. They will be gone two weeks. I am hoping and praying that it will be a sucessful trip for them with NO major problems.

It is not as cold this morning as it has been recently. I miss Mexico but I love spending time with my my family. This keyboad doesn't always work. Slow going.....

  1. Hi Patricia,
Sounds like you are putting your time to good use. I know nothing about using an iPad, but I would think it would take a while to figure out "extras" like loading photos. Sending my best wishes to your son and daughter-in law for a safe and hassle-free trip!

  2. aHA! It was 36 degrees this morning with bone-chilling thick FOG until about 1pm! Then it got dark about 3pm!

    You must be acclimating!

ps: let's go have that frosty margarita this weekend - before it snows! Gayle

  4. You'll get the hang of the iPad. I don't have one, but my kids do and share them with the grand-kids. Everyone LOVES them.....hope you will too.

  9. Dear Patricia ~ Interesting posts and great pictures on the earlier days! Just try to dress appropriately for the weather, and that will help. Dress in layers so warmer air will be trapped between each layer to keep you warm. The photos of the street market, all the fall colors, and your son's house are all so pretty to look at! Glad you're having good days. Miss you. Carolina in Ajijic :-)
