The Fruit Truck

Yesterday afternoon the fruit truck showed up in my neighborhood. They had huge watermelons and mangoes and some other things but I am waiting to do my shopping today at the regular market.

    1. Hi Teresa, So how much do they cost? I am guessing a lot. When I was in Japan in 1991 Cantaloupes were 25 dollars each. Mangoes here are now about forty cents each. I bought three of them. I love them too. Thanks for writing. P

  2. what kind of preparation do all these fruits, berries, etc. require to ensure they're safe to eat, devoid of parasites? must everything be soaked in that (???) solution for 20-30 minutes?

    Thanks from pdx

    1. Yes, they need to be soaked. They sell in the market a solution that you put into the water and soak them in for about fifteen minutes. Sill, sometimes it is possible to get sick. Depends on your own stomach. Thanks for writing. P
