Have you ever considered retiring in Mexico? Have you wondered about daily living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? What about hotels, hospitals, doctors, restaurants, banks, real estate and cultural activities? This is a diary of my daily life in Lake Chapala and other areas of Mexico. I don't speak Spanish. I am a single retired woman. I hope this blog will give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to make the move.

Hi Teresa, Thanks for writing. The Animal Shelter would love to have you here too. How about all those cats over there? Are you still going to the park to feed them? P
feeding some at the nearby river. went back to the park last week and was saddened to see one of my old cats in real bad shape. he didn't appear to be hurt but his fur was a mess and he was flithy. maybe the winter was hard on him. i hope he will improve.
wish i could be there to do volunteer work at the pet shelter. how i miss my babies!
