Dinner with Friends in San Juan Cosala

I went out to dinner with Dennis and Doreen to Viva Mexico in San Juan Cosala. I was surprised to see so many people at the restaurant and outside on the street. This is a very busy town at night.

  1. This looks wonderful. How many minutes, by car, from Ajijic? I'm trying to get my bearings for the area!!

    1. Hi Judy, I am not very good at judging that and it also depends on the traffic. On week ends it can take longer but I am guessing maybe twenty minutes. Thanks for writing. p

  2. Hello, I am thinking of buying in San Juan Cosala and thought maybe you could give me your opinion. I have heard it's quite noisy and not as safe as Ajijic. Please let me know your thoughts. My husband and I are staying in Chapala while looking for our retirement destination. Thank you, Rocky (Ohio)

    1. Hi Rocky, I have never spent any time there except to go to the spa. I know some people love it and houses are much less expensive. I don't have a car so it would take too long for me to go by bus from there to Ajijic. It isn't very social out there because of so few expats. That is all I know of it. Let me know what you think after you see it. Thanks for writing. P
