Breakfast at Mom's Deli

I walked down the street and had breakfast at Mom's Deli this morning. Her food is delicious. This is my last morning at my house sitting job. Calling it a JOB doesn't quite fit. It is a beautiful home with a sweet dog who adores me and a private pool. What is WORK about that? But in a way I will be glad to go home. I will certainly be glad to see Chico again. I know he will smell this dog on me and he will probably pee on my floor to let me know that he isn't happy with me betraying him like that. But in a couple of days, he will be okay again. Dogs are so forgiving. I will be home for eight days and then on to the next house. It too is lovely and the dog and cat there are delights. Lucky Me..... It would take a lot for me to decide to leave here. This is my home now.

Yes, it does sound like life is pretty good there. And it sounds as if you are feeling better about being there. That is a good thing.

    1. Hi Pat, Thanks for commenting. No new camera. I just banged the old one on the palm of my hand several times. I hope it will work for awhile longer. P

  5. Hi Pat, Jeanne here again. How do you like Mom's Deli's new location. I've heard pros and cons about it. I usually listen to the pros rather than the cons as some people here are very cynical. Haven't been there yet as I have a pinched nerve in my hip and kinda hard to get around. I do like her frozen entrees to take home for the nights I have forgotten to taken anything out of the freezer for dinner. Thanks.

    1. Hi Jeanne, Thanks for writing. Sorry you are having problems with your hip. Nerve pain is awful. I liked the charm of the old location better but her food is still good. P

    1. Hi Teresa, Thanks for writing. Yes, pineapple chunks with red onions and kind of a vinegar sauce. It was very good. Things may be looking up here now that the Mexicans are fighting back. P
