well, thought i'd share something that just happened as long as i am on here. i woke up at 3:50 this morning and never went back to sleep, so when i got home from work around 2:00 i decided to take a nap. i must have just dozed off when i woke up to the bed shaking. at first i thought it was an earthquake but then i heard some heavy machinery in the background. i was curious so went to check it out and sure enough they are demolishing a house. one of the neighbors came out and told me they are going to build a 4 story mansion, which in japan means apt. building. we had a good conversation with her few words of english, my broken japanese, AND i ended up with a bag of fruit from her yard that would cost well over $15.00 if i had to buy it at the store. who needs a nap? glad i got up and went to explore.
