Another meal at the Hot Rod Express Burrito

Jorge Ornelas, Owner
This is enough food for three meals for me. Cost is 45 pesos. That is less than four dollars.
This new restaurant in Ajijic has delicious Mexican food. The portions are enormous. He also delivers.  Address is the Bugambilia Plaza. Phone no: 376 766 5890 or cell: 331 239 2834.

  2. Now I'm salivating!! It's not even lunch time here in Portland! I'll have to make it a point to stop by this place on my next trip! By the way, the peso is around 14 to the US$1, so your lunch was closer to $3!! Woo-hoo!!!

Be glad you are there and not here - maybe summer will bestow its warmth on Portland in July when you arrive!! Rain, rain, rain - even the native Portlanders are sick of it already! It's Rose Festival week too - seems it always rains during this time (will most likely rain on Saturday's parade). YUK!

    1. HI Donna, Thanks for writing. I have been in Portland for three of those parades and each one was on a rainy day. I am glad to be here, even though it is a bit too hot. I would rather have it too hot than raining. I need to put some American money in the bank down here now with the great exchange rate. Thanks for reminding me. P

  3. Donna & Elizabeth in Portland (and anyone else of Pat's fans in the Portland/Metro/Salem area - (& of course you, too, Patricia!)... how about let's find a really nice, inexpensive lunch and/or happy hour place in the Portland/Metro area where we can take Pat to in July when she gets here?! I've already taken her to Montage for happy hour; but we both liked it & I bet she'd be 'happy' to do that again! They have a really really good, homemade mac'ncheese that's oh!-so-good! you can email me directly & let's figure out some ideas; perhaps we rotate at each others' homes? nopogayle@live.com

    1. Yes, good idea. But certainly Patricia deserves more than just "inexpensive"! She is my daily lifeline to Ajijic.

Patricia, what kind of food do you like? More Mexican?

Donna & Elizabeth, I will email you directly. This blog does not like my URL - claims "illegal" characters.

    2. Hi Jack, I like all kinds of food but my stomach doesn't like spicy foods. Thanks for the comment. I don't know why this blog is giving you problems. P

  4. It NEVER stops raining until AFTER the mega-Rose Festival in PDX. Those poor tourists, slogging their way through the fun center in all the mud. I did see some of the parade on tv this morning, from my warm front room! gayle in pdx
