It is raining. What a surprise. The weather site didn't have rain in their forecast. It rained a little yesterday too. Strange weather.

Twenty dollars worth of groceries

This is twenty dollars worth of groceries from my local market. Lots of toilet paper, laundry soap, a bottle of olive oil, fresh peaches, an apple, two tangerines, tomatoes, butter, cereal, two different kinds of candy several little packets of dog and cat food. . It was almost more than I could carry home.  But it is only two blocks.

Drug War

It appears that we are in the midst of yet another drug war. Yesterday they found a body near the Libramento. It was a Mexican man between 20 and 30 years old.  The police were there, guarding the area. I hope this will be over soon.

The man who shot the expat was not caught. People believe it was an initiation killing for the young killer.  To kill any expat at random. He didn't take the man's money, just his identification.

This is all extremely upsetting.

More blog problems

The app I have been using for my blog crashed. Even the man who created it can't figure out the problem. So for now, this is what I have for the blog. You can see that the photos are very small but if you click on a photo it will enlarge. I will try to find another app to use. Right now I have to write the article about the Chili Cook off.

Finally, internet

I went to telmex yesterday, thinking it was the last time I would try to get the modem. Surprise, it was there. She said she had been to my house twice to deliver it. So I took it home and hooked it up. I can even watch Netflix and call on skype. 

Happy day. My deck with Chico looking out of the French doors. My little office area is next to those doors. Lots of light and air streams in from all sides. 

No internet

Still no internet. Still using the sims card. Still waiting for the modem.... i am promised it every day. But it doesn't arrive. It was supposed to be delivered at my door at the beginning of the week. It didn't come. I deleted all the frustrating e mails about it. Boring to others. Terribly frustrating to me. So I am not writing on the blog these days. I may never get the internet.
