I have only one thing to say this morning, two words, because I am too angry to write anything else. RAZOR WIRE. This morning they are putting looped up razor wire across our entire opening...... Now we are really locked in. If we want to get in or out of here, the ones without cars will have to walk an extra six blocks. Not fun if you are tired and carrying a lot of groceries. I could think of several more two word comments about them but I will just quit this instead. Maybe it really is time for me to leave this place... Who wants to live with so much paranoia??????
Pack up and get out. You've been complaining about this situation for far too long and it's not going to get better. You'll be happier somewhere else. Your health is more important than saving a few bucks.
ReplyDeleteHI Donna, It isn't that easy. Chico is still Otto's dog. I can't take him with me. Chico needs me.... So it is a problem. p
DeleteSeems like you just can't win. What's next? Maybe the universe is trying to tell you something. If a move to another location is in your future, then I feel confident that you will be in a better place. Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, I am getting that message loud and clear. Thanks for writing. p
DeleteThis is something you should post pictures of. And get your other local blogging friends to do the same. I read a couple weeks ago the Chapala mayor stated these barriers had to go. I wonder what is going in with that.

I know what the article said. But they didn't mention this road. They are probably considering this as a private road. Thanks for writing. p
DeleteHi - I know it is your decision to make, but it does seem like it is time to find another place. You have so many contacts in town, someone with a budget priced place may be just waiting for you to become their new/best tenant. About Otto and Chico, since Chico spends so much time with you, do you think if you approached Otto in just the right way/time, that he would let you have Chico? Maybe with the provision that you bring him back to visit once a week? Since he is elderly and sickly, he certainly cannot walk Chico himself.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine how good it would feel to have less stress in your day to day life.
HI Pat, Otto has said on no uncertain terms that Chico is his and I cannot have him. I may move to some other area in Mexico, where it is less expensive. I will wait and see what happens. p
DeleteTime to buy a bicycle with a large basket.

It would be a good idea somewhere else. Not here. I would have to park it and lock it somewhere when I caught the bus for Chapala and it would be gone when I got back. I can't ride it on these cobblestones either. I don't want to buy a car. My bones are too fragile for a skateboard or skates.... It is a problem. p
DeleteWith lot rent at $461 in Sarasota I think a mobile park is now a better deal than Mexico. Heated pool. 10 Miles to the Gulf Beaches. Gary
ReplyDeleteThat sounds nice. I wouldn't want to live there. But I am looking into other towns in Mexico.... Thanks for writing. p
DeletePatricia, what road is this exactly? thanks - Abigail
ReplyDeleteIt is Paseo de la Huerta. The last road on the left before the lake at the end of Revolucion....p
DeleteIs there a blockage on any other streets? Why cant you walk thru camino? Where do live, & where exactly do you have to go?
DeleteWherever you move to in Mexico, we'll come and visit.
ReplyDeleteJack + Virginia
That would be fun. Thank you for your support. p

ReplyDeleteI would hate to have you leave such a beautiful place…I’ve enjoyed reading about your daily life too much…How about investing in a small moped to get around? I think that would be a lot of fun & you could see even more of the Village than walking everywhere.
I have not posted on your wall for a while…I will be in town in November for Thanksgiving…I just missed you last year at the same time.
Peter Dominguez from Chicago Illinois
Hi Peter, Good to hear from you again. I have thought about that but not practical for me because I don't want to leave it locked on the street. I usually am going somewhere by bus after the walk up. p
