Housesitting Jobs

I still can't type because of my fractured wrist. I just want to check in. I got another housesitting job today. This one will be for five months. Lovely home...I feel so lucky. Word of mouth. That is the best way to get a job. Like I said already, you have to go to the area where you want to work and get to know people......I won't be writing much until my wrist heals.

    Good Morning and greetings from Texas. I am not sure how we stumbled on your blog, we have been searching for housesits and somehow in one of my searches your blog appeared.

    Sorry to hear you fell, were you concerned about the quality of care or did you find it problematic that you did not speak spanish? Are you taking classes?

    Anyway I am hoping to pick your brain on these housesits, without having to type much can you offer any help in terms of your obtaining the "first" sit so word of mouth can kick in? Many thanks and not to worry if your just not up to answering. What a pain in the rear! Thank you

    Not many jobs here now. Everyone is affected by the bad economy. I don't know how you can get started, unless you go first to the area where you want to live and put up signs and meet people.

    Sure, as long as it is in English and isn't very long....Are you a man or a woman? I am asking because I know of someone looking for a long term house sitter. It is from May 19th till the end of Sept. But he won't hire a man. The last one was a man and he walked off the job three weeks early. That ruined the chances for every other man. Patricia
