I took this photo in a mall in the States. One of the main things my friend and I agreed on about the States is that it is COMFORTABLE. We spent a lot of time wandering around in the beautiful malls. I came upon this young man enjoying a time out from the stress of shopping.
I appreciated being able to flush toilet paper down the toilet and being able to drink water from the tap. I liked it that I could understand what people around me were saying. Everything was so clean and everything worked. People do what they say, when they say they will do it. There is a lot of discomfort that comes with living in Mexico. One must have patience and learn to wait and make do. But I think it is worth all the discomfort.
Comfortable. Like toilets that aren't missing toilet seats! :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your trip, but it's always nice to be home, wherever that is.

Oh yes, I forgot about that little detail. Thanks for writing. p
DeleteWhy don't they have toilet seats? What is it in the culture that makes them think that they can tell one thing a do something completly different?
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting. A lot of public toilets don't have seats because people steal them. And why do they say one thing and do something different? I have no idea. Maybe because they don't like to disappoint people so they say what you want to hear but have no intention of doing it. This is a different culture. p
DeleteGlad you enjoyed your trip and are back safe and sound! Sorry Chico is uncomfortable, as I saw in a previous post.
ReplyDelete:( Your other comment about the cat sleeping on your head made me laugh. Take care.

Hi Karen, Thanks for writing. I took Fiesta with me and had planned on taking his photo at various places but never got around to doing it. Sorry. Maybe I will get the energy and creativity to take some back down here. p
