Your last few posts are definitely feasts for the eyes! Love the flowers, the ladies walking, the malecon.... I really like the first pic in this post of the palm leaves. So cool! Thanks for sharing these glimpses into life in Mexico! Karen in VA
Super pics. Love the bird and the little girl with the knife and the flowers. Thanks. What about the lake situation? I read a real scary article on the water in Mexico. Mexico city is draining off a lot of water from all over. Sounds serious.
The so-called very patient and loving Mexican helper is on her cell phone. If the old lady falls, her texting helper will hardly be attentive enough to assist her.
I'm married to a Mexican. I've lived in Mexico since '05 and Mexico is where I hope to die. I love Mexico. But I also know that everything here is not coming up roses. Mexico is just a country; it's not paradise.
This nursing home employee is guilty of willful negligence and should be reported to her employer, as well as to the appropriate state office that regulates estaciones para adultos mayores.
This old lady is somebody's sister, wife, or mother. If she falls, it could very well mean the end of her life. She deserves an attentive and watchful helper, not someone punching away on her cellphone. Would you want your elderly loved one treated this way? It's not only dangerous, it's disrespectful.
