Chico is sniffing everything in the yard. |
I love this complex. It is on 16th of Sept. and it is close to everything. There are several apartments for rent in there now and I have thought about moving to the one with the view of the lake. But of course I can't leave Chico. He belongs to my landlord, even though he spends all this time with me. So I had to pass it up. Well, also the rent is much more than I pay at my casita now. But if I WERE to move, this would be the place. Rarely do places come up for rent in this place because people stay for years. But recently several elderly women had to move out. Oh well, I can always visit with Marie. Second best thing to living there myself.
Hi Patricia -
ReplyDeleteWhere were the photos taken with the razor wire on top of the fence? Hopefully not the complex you were talking about? I could not live behind razor wire - it would feel (and looks) like a prison. If there was a need for it I'd not want to live there in the first place. When I drive to the office I sometimes go by a women's prison and this fence looks exactly like the prison fence.
Meanwhile I love your cats, and yes, they are yours! Or you are theirs. : )
Dean
Hi Dean, Thanks for commenting. And you are right, I do belong to the cats and Chico. Yes, the razor wire is in that complex. Unfortunately, that is the downside of living in Mexico... Lots of break ins..... We all have to have high fences and razor wire if possible. You wouldn't like it here if you didn't want any security around your house. P
DeleteFor Dean - that complex is beautiful and part of that beauty is keeping the unwanteds on the other side of the razor wire! I would move into that complex in a New York minute. By the way, I don't live in Mexico (yet), but I have visited Marie and another good friend who live in the complex. Safest place in the village - plus secure parking. Can't get better than that!
ReplyDeleteDonna from Oregon
HI Donna, Thank you for that feed back. Yes, safety is more important than beauty to me... Safety first and then beauty. After all, how can you enjoy a beautiful place if you don't feel safe in it? P
DeleteHi Patricia....what is the name of that complex?
ReplyDeleteIs it right at the end of the street the market is on ? If it is the one I am thinking of we met a couple that rent there for 6 months every year and absolutely love it ..
I think they called it the Ranch but I am not sure :-)
Take Care...........Collette
HI Collette, You are thinking of a different complex which is across the street from my place. This one is further down on 16th of Sept. La Quinca or something like that. It is where the huge blue gate is located. But they only rent full time..... P
DeleteHi - If they have vacancies in June while we are there, let me know. I would like to see them....and so would my husband. The idea of having such a safe place is really appealing. He could go off sailing in PV....and not have to worry about the stay-at-home wife.
ReplyDeletePat Y.
HI Pat, The problem is that they only rent long term..... People go in there and stay until they either die or have to move to assisted living... Sorry, P
DeletePat, what is the name of the complex?
ReplyDeleteHi Lorrie, La Quinta but there is no sign or name out front. Just a blue gate that is locked. P
DeleteHi Lorie
ReplyDeleteI am considering moving my family to Mexico for a quieter less electronically geared life. I have a child with special needs. Do you think this is a smart idea?
I don't know if you are asking me or Lorie. That is a very hard question...... There isn't much here for special needs children, that I know. Maybe there are, but I don't know about them. P
