Morning Thoughts

I am in the center of the pool, waving with both hands. I went to the spa yesterday with my friends, Liz, and Loretta. I was there from nine a.m. till three p.m. Time seems to stop when I am there, no stress, just total relaxation. One reason I never move from here is the spa. I love it.

I hope to make it to the spa on Thursday too. For two weeks of the Easter vacation, I wasn't allowed to use my discount tickets, so I didn't go. I spent too much time during those weeks at restaurants and now I need to go on a diet. One way is to spend all day at the spa, just eating fruits and veggies that I have brought. If I don't have any to bring in, then there is a nice little restaurant inside that sells a huge plate of cut up fruits and veggies for thirty five pesos.

My favorite time at the spa is when they open at nine a.m. Yesterday morning I was the only one in the pool for half an hour. I got to swim laps in peace. I don't know what time they close. I have never stayed that late because I have to catch the bus home before dark. I will post a few more photos of the spa on my next post. Wish you all could join me there.

    3. Hi Karen, I wish I lived in a huge house with many bedrooms so I could invite all my friends to come and stay with me. That would be fun. P

  2. Looks great indeed, and where is it that you have to leave and catch a bus to get home? Not in Ajijic I'm guessing.

    1. Thank you for commenting. All of the buses go out to the hot springs. It is just a block walk down the hill after getting off the bus. They run every fifteen minutes or so. Very easy. P

  4. Recently you pointed out the hotel where you lived when you first arrived...what was the name? Thank you. Linda in Indiana

  5. Hi Linda, Thanks for writing. When I first came here, I lived four months in a motel half a block up the road from the Chapala Plaza. There is no name out front and the owner changed his phone number so I don't know any way you can reach him. He is also rarely there. You can find it by walking up the main road half a block to the pet shop. It has a big plastic cow out front. It is in there. The owner lives in the top left front apartment as you face the apartments. That is the only way I know to get a room. P

  6. Patricia, obviously you've got more stamina than I have, because I got no further into the hot spa than my knees. Virginia got up to her waist. I checked the thermometer, and it indicated 105 degrees F. Now the big pool, that was just right!

How much does the discount ticket cost?

    1. HI Jack, Good to hear from you. I love that 105 degree water. The discount ticket costs 2,000 pesos. Has twenty tickets but you can't use them on weekends or holidays and they expire in four months. Or maybe that is three months. I can't remember. Also, no one else can use them. P
