Jacaranda flowers on the car |
I don't remember the Jacaranda trees blooming until April. They are dropping their flowers all over the street already. And over parked cars. Some people are highly allergic to them. Luckily I am not. Of course, a lot of other flowers are in bloom too. That is the natural order of things here.

Hi, Pat.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful, as always! Thanks for the pictures.
I sure do miss Mexico these days, our Son's finally found the job after the graduation. Maybe, it's time for us start to think about our dream of being a snowbird in Mexico.
Take care, Pat. And my wishes are always with you.
Min.
Hi Min, Great hearing from you again. I have wondered if you were okay. Thanks for writing. P

HI Karen, Thanks for commenting. Yes, I feel so lucky to be living in the midst of all this beauty. P
DeleteA long time ago, when I was in my 20's, I read about these wonderful tropical trees. At the time, I was living in Massachusetts and trees like this and the places they grew seemed so far, far away. Much later, maybe 10 years ago, my wife and I visited in April and we asked about the trees as they were in full bloom. Some Mexicans we asked said they were "hacaranda" trees. I thought to myself, "oh, they must spell it differently here." My Spanish was so poor back then - I had no idea they were indeed saying jacaranda, exactly as I remembered it.

Hi Jack, Yes that J is a strange letter in Spanish. Sounds like an H. Jesus sounds like Hesus..... I hope the trees are still in bloom when you get here. P
DeletePat, This is my first time writing to you. Have been following your blog for a couple of months now. Love all your pictures. Hoping to talk my husband into a visit after he retires next year. Looks like my kind of weather. We currently live in Kansas, which is okay since our kids and grandkids are here, but the winters are tough on my husband with all his aches and pains. Hope you feel better....and keep up the blog, almost makes me feel like I am enjoying Mexico with you.
