There are now cows in front of their lawn. One good way to keep the weeds down.

My Walk Through Lower La Floresta
Yesterday I went to a meeting with the Mexican Immigration people at the Real de Chapala about their new rules. I was worried that they were going to tell us that we would have to pay a lot of money to leave and come back, just as payback for the giant wall that Trump wants to build. But that wasn't the case at all. They were very nice to us. And no mention of extra money. I took some photos of the pretty flowers that are now blooming down in the Lower La Floresta area. I hadn't been there since I moved out. And some photos of the Hotel. Wish I could use their pool. But they only allow their guests to use it. At a hundred dollars a night, I can go without that.

Very nice pictures and I like your post about living in Mexico.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I appreciate that. P
ReplyDeleteI'd like to make a comment about the location of your posting buttons. I spent a lot of time typing out a comment, then automatically clicking on the bottom right (which is where most sites confirm and post comments). Unfortunately, yours has the 'sign out' button in that location, so I lost my whole post. I don't want to type the whole thing over again! I'm definitely NOT a happy camper!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately this is pre-determined by the Blogger/Blogspot engineering team and there isn't anything that Pat can do about it. I looked and while someone else has mentioned it, there is currently no way to move it.
DeleteThank you Scott for that information. I don't feel so stupid now. P
Deletei am so sorry that happened to you. My son set up this site and I have no idea of how to change it but a computer programmer is coming to see me in a couple of days. I will show him your e mail and hope he can change it. Thanks for letting me know the problem. P
ReplyDeletethese are gorgeous warm images of the neighborhood ..thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about the meaning of the mural with the halo over the little dog ..tree of life in the mexican style?
best regards from the rainy sierras,
marilyn
ps. what happned to fay?
Hi Marilyn, that mural was on someone's house. My guess is that the dog with the halo was a pet that died and the other one is still alive. I am sorry, I don't remember Fay. P
DeleteBeautiful walk---I love the Jacaranda trees and the Bouganvilla. Glad your visit with immigration was more pleasant than you expected.
ReplyDeleteHi Larry, Yes, the Mexican government is kinder to us than ours is to them. Makes me sad that I have become so distrustful just because of Trump. Good to hear from you. P
DeleteThanks Pat for the beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting Anita. P
