Morning Thoughts--Patricia's Rain Spirit 2
I woke up this morning to no rain. Maybe the rainy season is slowing down. I am now hearing firecrackers going off in the distance. For the last couple of days I have heard lots of fireworks. I don't not know what holiday they are celebrating. I didn't find it online on the Mexican Holiday site but something is going on. Does anyone out there know what?
Above is another computer drawing done by my ex husband, Carlos Valdez. Of course, I had to cut down the pixels in order to get it on here. One day I would like to make full size posters of some of his work with all the pixels. But for now, I will just share them on the blog. I miss you Carlos!

Beautiful art, thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteSome churches go all out with the firecrackers around the day for the saint their church is named after. One Mexican woman told me this when I was staying in her small hotel and wondering what all the racket was - she didn't like it but was resigned to it. I have the feeling the firecrackers are a guy thing and a way to let off steam.

Hi Jane, Thanks for commenting. I agree with you. I rarely see women setting off fireworks. p
